Mad Max: Fury Road Images
As Tom Hardy and director George Miller look to revive the brilliant series Mad Max next year, Entertainment Weekly has put Hardy and his co-star Charlize Theron on their cover this month along with images featuring a barely recognizable Nicholas Hoult and a band of demonic looking pick up truck drivers. From the images, we can guess that the film is going to be full of fireballs and chaos, and with Miller’s description of the film as one long chase sequence that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes, we’re sure to be in for a wild ride. Check out EW’s cover and images below.
Mad Max: Fury Road also stars Riley Keough, Zoe Kravitz, Courtney Eaton, Rosei Huntington-Whiteley, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, and Abbey Lee Kershaw, and comes to theatres May 15, 2015.
Star Wars set Rumors
Even with all the rumors about the nature of J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars Episode VII villains, we are still hearing about the domino effect Harrison Ford’s leg injury is possibly having on the production. First, a rumor out of Pinewood started questioning whether filming would be delayed, which put into question the staying power of the film’s already set December 2015 release date.
Now, the nature of Oscar Isaac’s role is being questioned, and, though not the most reliable source for the rumor mill, the New York Post reports that Isaac’s could have a bigger role than originally intended due to Ford’s absence. Even with the potential for Isaac to have a bigger role, the basic storyline will reportedly not change that much and that the order of filming will be shifted to accommodate Ford’s recovery, which makes sense in the long run. Shooting will not be shut down, but adjustments will be made, but whether these changes will allow the film to stay on target has yet to be sorted and confirmed.
As the repercussions of Ford’s broken leg continue to roll in and make themselves apparent, more rumors are sure to come. Stick with us for all your rumors out of Pinewood.
Star Wars Episode VII stars Mark Hamill, Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’O, and Andy Serkis, and (possibly) comes to theatres December 18, 2015.
New Guardians TV Spot and Villainous Image
The time for Marvel’s highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy is getting closer as June draws to a close and we start the slow crawl through July, but the marketing exposure seems to just be picking up steam as yet another TV spot has emerged for the film featuring some new footage mixed in with the already established scenes of our favorite characters.
As well as the new spot, Empire magazine has featured the villains of Guardians, and we have gotten our first look at Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, completely transformed by the makeup and black armor from his blonde elven counterpart Thranduil from The Hobbit trilogy. Check out Pace’s big bad and the TV spot below.
Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, David Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Benicio del Toro, Pace, Karen Gillan, and Glenn Close, and comes to theatres July 31 (UK) and August 1 (US).
